Our company was established by our founder, who returned from Manchuria after the end of the war on July 3,1948. He was a graduate of Oshima National College of Maritime Technology, and loved the sea, which is why we named our company “Taiyo Kogyo.” At the time, our business focused on the design and construction of rapid waterworks filters. We then shifted our focus to the sale of waterworks disinfectors and mining machinery, and in 1950, began manufacturing and selling steel pipe fittings called Taiyo Joints.

This began with the development of fittings for the coal mining industry, which led to the creation of the ring-shaped crown joint. Subsequently, we expanded our sales channels and developed a variety of fittings tailored to applications in metal mining, civil engineering, waterworks, plant, shipbuilding, bridge and building equipment, resulting in products that have been adopted by all these industries.

Now, more than 70 years after our founding, all of our employees are united in our determination to pass on our founder’s vision to the next generation, working hard every day with dedication and enthusiasm. We hope to continue to move forward steadily, step by step, so that we can celebrate our 100th anniversary with a smile, fulfilling our role in society and industry.

Our goal is to “bring happiness to everyone involved with our company, no matter what the times or circumstances may be.” This is by no means an easy task, but we are embarking on a mission to achieve it, and we view it as a lifelong challenge.
